Blockchain Wallet

Blockchain Wallet

SBID token exists on the blockchain so you need a blockchain wallet because it grants you access to an address on the blockchain. It is what is known as the wallet address.

Currently, the SBID website supports MetaMask wallet only. The MetaMask official website is https://metamask.io/.

More wallets will be added later.

There is a MetaMask wallet app for mobile devices and an extension for your desktop or laptop browsers.

MetaMask extension supports Chrome, Firefox, Brave, Edge, and Opera browsers.

MetaMask app for mobile devices has its browser inside. So if you only have a mobile device, you download an app and use its browser. Often it is more convenient to use its built-in browser.

Download MetaMask from the official website.

When you install it, it will suggest you create a new wallet. Follow the process to create it. It is easy and has helpful security information inside.

We strongly recommend you save its seed phrase aka secret recovery phrase immediately. Don’t share it with anyone. Read more about security measures in the MetaMask User Guide: Secret Recovery Phrase, password, and private keys.

MetaMask default network is Ethereum Mainnet. If you need other networks, you need to add them. Currently, for SBID you need the BNB Smart Chain.

🔰 Note:

  • When you create a MetaMask wallet, by default, you receive one address.
  • You can add as many addresses as you want by clicking +Add account button. You can think of it as a usual wallet or purse that has different compartments. You have one wallet (MetaMask) and several compartments in it (addresses). To see the tokens in your wallet you need to add their contract addresses. You can think of them as credit cards: one card is your USD account, another card is your EUR account, and the third card is your local currency. Same with contract addresses. If you want to see how many USDCs you have, you add the USDC contract address. If you want to see your SBID token, you need to add an SBID contract address. Only native tokens of the networks don’t need to be added. Because they are native for the network you add, their contract addresses are added automatically, when you add a network. For example, if you need to add BNB Smart Chain, its native token BNB will be there without any action from your end.
